Privacy Policy
In short: your audio is sent to be turned into text, then deleted the moment that succeeds. We keep no recordings on our servers. The text, your dictionary and your history live in your account alone. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to advertisers.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and display name, from Google sign-in.
- Audio: the recording is sent to our service and on to the transcription provider, then deleted as soon as it succeeds. It is not stored.
- The resulting text: saved to your history inside your account so you can reach it from any device.
- Your personal dictionary: terms you add, or that come from your corrections.
- Usage counter: the number of seconds recorded only, to compute your monthly balance.
- Your devices: device name, platform and app version, to manage the devices linked to your account.
2. What we do not collect
- No contacts, no location, no photos, no messages.
- We do not read your screen and we do not monitor what you type in other apps.
- No ads, no selling of data, no sharing with ad networks.
3. Accessibility service — why we ask for it
Hamsio's core function is to write your speech into the field you are standing in, inside any app. Android does not allow an app to write into another app except through an accessibility service, which is why we request it.
We use it for exactly one purpose: pasting the text we transcribed from your voice, when you press the record button. We do not read screen content, we do not collect what you type, and nothing from your screen is sent to our servers. You can turn the service off at any time in system settings and the rest of the app keeps working.
We also request display over other apps for the floating bubble, and microphone for recording. The microphone is active only while you hold the record button, and a persistent notification is shown the whole time.
4. Where your data lives and who processes it
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication (your account, history, dictionary, usage counter).
- OpenAI — speech-to-text and language processing. Audio is sent, processed, and is not used to train models.
All traffic is TLS-encrypted. The app contains no secret key; every call goes through our own service.
5. Data isolation
The database enforces row-level security, so an account can read only its own rows. No other user can reach your history or your dictionary.
6. Retention and deletion
- Audio: deleted as soon as transcription succeeds.
- Text, dictionary and usage counter: kept while your account exists.
- You can delete any history entry or dictionary term inside the app at any time.
- To delete your account and all its data permanently, email venxon.ai@gmail.com from your registered address; it is carried out within 30 days.
7. Children
Hamsio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
If something material changes we will update this page and its date, and notify you in the app when the change affects your data.
